Economics

Economics is the social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. It examines how individuals, businesses, governments, and nations make choices about allocating limited resources to satisfy their needs and desires. Economics is divided into two main branches: microeconomics, which focuses on the behavior of individual agents such as households and firms, and macroeconomics, which looks at aggregate economic phenomena such as total national output, unemployment, and inflation. Economists use theories and models to analyze economic activities and predict how changes in policy or external factors will impact economic performance. The discipline encompasses a wide range of topics, including market structure, supply and demand, economic growth, trade, and public policy.
